Queen Street cool spent the last few years migrating west, but it appears to have settled around Gladstone Avenue and is now consolidating its power.
Proof? You really need to experience it for yourself — the cafes, bars, restaurants, culture and nightlife are the hippest in the city. It only makes sense that the new developments springing to life along Queen West would harness that cool and incorporate their own complementary creative flair into their designs (both interior and exterior).
A perfect example is 8 Gladstone, the slick new 8 storey condo project by Streetcar Developments. Just check out the model suite designed by Jeff Schnitter and Jessica Helps, the principals at Seven Haus Design. The design is meant to reflect the eclectic tastes of a typical Queen West resident with a combo of vintage and high design.
What’s that? You want to see some photos of the model suite? Well isn’t that a coincidence, because we were just about to say BRING ON THE PHOTOS!
The interiors speak to the first time buyer demographic as Seven Haus’ Jeff Schnitter anticipates that many will be attracted to 8 Gladstone.
Seven Haus’ goal was to infuse the model suite with tons of personality. Schnitter thinks that future buyers will see this and take it as an inspiration for their own living environments.
Despite all this talk of vintage design, the kitchen boasts modern features and finishes like European-style integrated appliances, Quartz countertops and backsplashes and wood veneer or high gloss cabinetry.
Nice work on the living room! If you like what you’re seeing in the photos, why not check out the real deal at the sales centre at 1230 Queen Street West at Gladstone Avenue.
